小过
Meaning and Overview
The Small Exceeding hexagram has the upper trigram of Zhen, representing thunder, and the lower trigram of Gen, representing mountain, forming the image of thunder over mountain, signifying small surpassing. This hexagram is the complete opposite of the Inner Truth hexagram: in Small Exceeding, the two central lines are yang, while the four outer lines are yin.

《小过》卦上卦是震,为雷,下卦是艮,为山,卦象为雷山小过。《小过》卦与《中孚》卦完全相反,《小过》卦中间两爻是阳爻,其余外面四爻是阴爻。

九三,弗过防之,从或戕之,凶。

六五,密云不雨,自我西郊;公弋取彼在穴。
六五爻,乌云密布,没有下雨,来自我西郊;公侯用绳箭射取穴中的猎物。
The fifth six, divided: Dense clouds, no rain, from our western border. The duke shoots and takes the game in the cave.

上六,弗遇过之,飞鸟离之,凶,是谓灾眚。
上六爻,没有遇上支持者,反而过分强求,飞鸟遭到网罗,凶险,这叫做灾祸。
