柔弱者亨通,利于前行,利于见到大人物。
Small success. It furthers one to have somewhere to go. It furthers one to see the great man.
The yielding and weak achieve success. It is favorable to go forward and to meet a great person.
初六,进退,利武人之贞。
初六爻,进退不定,利于武人果断作出决定,坚守正道。
In the beginning, six yin: Advancing and retreating. It furthers the perseverance of a warrior.

九二,巽在床下,用史巫纷若,吉,无咎。
九二爻,巽阴在床下,用许多祝史、巫觋沟通神灵,禳灾祈福,吉祥,不会有过错。
Nine in the second place: Penetrating under the bed. Priests and magicians are employed in great number. Good fortune. No blame.
The second line, nine yang: The penetrating yin is under the bed. Many invocators and shamans are employed to communicate with spirits, to avert misfortune and pray for blessings. Auspicious, no fault.
九三,频巽,吝。
九三爻,频繁地颁布命令,会有遗憾。
Nine in the third place: Repeated penetration. Humiliation.
The third line, nine yang: Frequent issuing of commands. There will be regret.
六四,悔亡,田获三品。
六四爻,悔恨消失,田猎时获得大量猎物,包括上品干豆、中品宾客、下品充君之庖等用途的猎物。
Six in the fourth place: Remorse vanishes. During the hunt, three kinds of game are caught.
The fourth line, six yin: Remorse disappears. In hunting, abundant game is obtained, including the three grades: for dried offerings, for guests, and for the ruler's kitchen.
九五,贞吉,悔亡,无不利,无初有终。先庚三日,后庚三日,吉。
九五爻,坚守正道,吉祥,悔恨消失,无不利;刚开始发布新令时,百姓还心存疑惑,最终执行起来,大有收获;在庚日发布新令时,发布前三天,预先告知百姓将有新令发布,在新令发布后三天,再次向百姓宣讲新令如何执行,当然会获吉祥。
Nine in the fifth place: Perseverance brings good fortune. Remorse vanishes. Nothing that does not further. No beginning, but an end. Before the change, three days. After the change, three days. Good fortune.
The fifth line, nine yang: Perseverance brings good fortune. Remorse vanishes. Nothing is unfavorable. At first there is doubt, but in the end there is great gain. When issuing new decrees on a geng day, three days beforehand announce them to the people, and three days afterward explain how to carry them out. This brings good fortune.
上九,巽在床下,丧其资斧,贞凶。
上九爻,巽阴在床下,丧失了钱财,确实遭遇了凶险。
Nine at the top: Penetrating under the bed. He loses his property and his axe. Perseverance brings misfortune.
