元亨,利涉大川,先甲三日,后甲三日。
有先天之生机、活力、实力,能够兴旺发达,有利于克服大的困难,救治祸乱者,当在祸乱未萌之时,预设治蛊之道;并且应当在祸乱将盛之时,洞察祸患如何才能够由盛转衰,施设治蛊的方法,彻底救治祸乱,纠正错误。
Supreme success. Advantageous to cross the great river. Three days before the first day of the cycle, three days after.
With inherent vitality, vigor, and strength, one can prosper and overcome great difficulties. To remedy corruption, one should prepare the way before the trouble arises, and when it is about to flourish, discern how it may turn from peak to decline, applying methods to thoroughly correct the errors.
初六,干父之蛊,有子,考无咎,厉,终吉。
初六爻,纠治父亲的过失,有能继承父业的儿子,父亲死后,也不会有过失,不用担心。纠治过失,虽有危险,但最终结果,吉利。
Six at the beginning: Correcting the corruption of the father. There is a son. The departed father has no blame. Though perilous, in the end good fortune.
The first six line: Rectifying the father's faults. There is a son capable of continuing the father's work. After the father's death, there will be no blame. Though rectifying faults is dangerous, the final outcome is auspicious.
九二,干母之蛊,不可贞。
九二爻,纠治母亲的过失,不能用常规办法。
Nine in the second place: Correcting the corruption of the mother. One should not be too firm.
The second nine line: Rectifying the mother's faults. One cannot use conventional methods.
九三,干父之蛊,小有悔,无大咎。
九三爻,用阳刚的方法纠治父亲的过失,会有小小的后悔,但不会出现大的过错。
Nine in the third place: Correcting the corruption of the father. There will be small regret, but no great blame.
The third nine line: Using forceful methods to rectify the father's faults. There will be slight regret, but no major error.
六四,裕父之蛊,往见吝。
六四爻,纵容延续父亲的过失,行动做事,往往达不到目的。
Six in the fourth place: Tolerating the corruption of the father. In going forward, one sees humiliation.
The fourth six line: Indulging and prolonging the father's faults. In action, one often fails to achieve the goal.
六五,干父之蛊,用誉。
六五爻,纠治父亲的过失,适宜于将美德归功于父亲,以显父亲美名。
Six in the fifth place: Correcting the corruption of the father. One gains praise.
The fifth six line: Rectifying the father's faults. It is fitting to attribute virtue to the father, thus enhancing his good name.
上九,不事王侯,高尚其事。
上九爻,功成身退,不再事奉王侯,不贪禄位,王侯尊尚其人其事。
Nine at the top: He does not serve king or prince. He values his own affairs more highly.
The top nine line: Withdrawing after success, no longer serving king or prince, not coveting rank or salary. The prince honors the person and his deeds.
